What can I do at an Open Day?
Whether you’ve already applied or have no idea what you want to study yet, our Open Days are perfect for you! You can get a real feel of student life. Tutors will also be on hand to explain in depth about courses and our Student Services team will also be there to offer advice on careers, transport, finance, wellbeing and more.

The Bedford College Open Day is primarily located at the Cauldwell Street campus. Get directions.

You can go straight to BROOKS Hair & Beauty, 85 High Street, Bedford MK40 1NE. Get directions.
Interested in Motor Vehicle or Gas & Plumbing?
Head to our Vehicle Technology Centre or Gas & Plumbing Technology Centre, both located at Triumph Way, Woburn Road Industrial Estate, Kempston, Bedford MK42 7QB. Get directions.
If you’re interested in Land-based courses, then you will need to attend our separate Shuttleworth College Open Day. If you can’t make our next Shuttleworth College Open Day, there will be a representative available to speak to at the Bedford College Open Day.
At Bedford College, there is limited car parking available on site. A pay and display system is in operation and costs £1. Information about parking in Bedford can be found here.
What subject areas will be represented?
Every subject area we offer at the College will be in attendance at the Open Day. For a full list, check out the subjects we offer.
What if I want to study A-Levels, do Bedford College offer them?
If you wish to study A-Levels, then we recommend visiting The Bedford Sixth Form on Bromham Road, Bedford. View their future Open Day dates.
What if I’m deaf/hard of hearing?
We have a signer available at the Open Day who can communicate via British Sign Language.
What if I am a wheelchair user?
The majority of areas within the College are accessible to everyone. If you have any concerns, please ring Enquiries & Guidance on 01234 291000.
Do I have to be there for the duration of the event?
Of course not! You can drop in at any time and stay for as long or as little as you wish.
How do I apply for a course?
You will be able to apply on the day, and staff will be on hand to help you, or if you prefer, you can also apply online when you get home.
Do I have to pre-register to be able to come?
Everyone is welcome at our Open Days whether you’ve pre-registered or not! By pre-registering you get the benefit of beating the queues as you won’t have to fill out a registration card when you arrive.
Does my entire family have to pre-register?
No, only prospective students are required to register to attend an Open Day.
