Safe Use of Ride-on Self Propelled Mowers NPTC Level 2 Award

This course will enable you to build on your knowledge of the safe use of ride-on self-propelled rotary mowers, and will involve a combination of theory and practical work culminating in a formal assessment. Please note: you will learn on a rotary mower.


Course content

During this course you will train on a rotary mower, and study the following topics:

  • Machine maintenance
  • Site inspection
  • Identification of hazards
  • Environmental factors
  • Safe use of equipment
  • Machine after-care.

Additional information

To take part in this course you must bring PPE (personal protective equipment) and other tools and equipment as listed on the joining instructions. You can also view the PPE and tools list here. These will be emailed to you a few weeks before the course is due to start – please contact us to confirm you have the required items.
