Graphic Design Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3 (Cancelled)

This apprenticeship supports personal development through acquisition of skills and knowledge with graphic design industry. This is reinforced by the delivery of underpinning conceptual skills.

Entry requirements

You must be employed in a relevant job role and pass an English and maths test to enrol on to this programme.

Course content

Creatives working in graphic design provide expertise and skills in a variety of contexts, including:

  • Print and publish
  • Web-based
  • Design studios

Duties at Advanced Level may include:

  • Preparing imagery/artwork for print
  • Assisting with research for design work
  • Ideas generation
  • Responding to clients
  • Communicating and liaising with other team members
  • Meeting deadlines

Assessment methods

You will be assessed by a variety of methods including:

  • Direct observations by a dedicated training coordinator
  • Tests in English and maths
  • Practical submission of art and design work

Qualifications

You will study the following qualifications:

  • AIM Awards Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Design – 601/5271/0
  • Pearson 90 Credit Diploma in Art & Design (Graphic Design – 600/3890/1)
  • Level 2 Functional skills in ICT
  • Level 2 Functional skills in Mathematics
  • Level 2 Functional skills in English

Further study and career options

On completion of this programme you could progress on to a higher education programme at the College – a HNC/HND in Graphic Design – followed by a BA (Hons) Graphic Design.
