Management & Leadership Level 5 Diploma

If you are a manager looking to develop your role and skills, this qualification is for you. You will discover how to develop personal management capabilities, make effective use of information in decision-making, operations and develop skills in managing people.


Entry requirements

You will be required to attend an interview and will need either a degree or considerable management experience.

Course content

You will study the following units:

  • Managing the team and individual performance
  • Conducting a marketing plan
  • Resources management
  • Meeting stakeholder needs
  • Being a leader

You will also cover: skill building in research; writing skills; presentations; interviewing; development of a business case or strategy; planning and evaluating.

Assessment methods

You will be assessed through assignments which may involve a variety of business formats such as personal development plans, research projects, report writing, presentations, interviewing and planning.

Further study and career options

After completing this course, you could apply for Chartered Manager status or apply to a university to do a Level 6 or Level 7 Management or Business top-up course.

Additional information

On this part-time course you will be required to attend one evening per week and significant home study will be required to be successful. All aspects of management theory are covered and there is the opportunity to network and learn from other senior managers from a variety of business sectors. Deadlines are set for submission of assessments. Significant reading and preparation of assignments is required in your own time.
