This course is ideal for those who want to develop a career in a selected trade within the construction industry. They are designed to contain the skills and knowledge that reflect the scope of the National Occupational Standards.

There are no entry requirements to start at Level 1.

Course content

This course covers:

  • Safe working practices
  • Quantities and communication
  • Building method
  • Use of access equipment
  • Preparing surfaces
  • Applying paint with a brush and a roller
  • Applying basic wallpaper
  • Specialist decorative finishes.
