Engineering Apprenticeship Level 2
This apprenticeship programme will provide you with a good level of knowledge of the basic engineering techniques used within the industry to enable you to get your career off to the right start. Alongside the basic engineering training, you will also choose units to study which complement your specific job role. You will learn in the workplace and complete formal off-the-job training, giving you a broad mix of industry skills and knowledge.
You will need a minimum of three GCSEs at grades A*-D / 9-4 or Level 1 equivalent, ideally including English, maths, science and or a technical based subject such as engineering or product design.
Course contentDuring this apprenticeship you will study a range of topics, including:
- Working safely in an engineering environment
- Carrying out engineering activities efficiently and effectively
- Using and communicating technical Information
You will be assessed via observation and the collation of evidence in a portfolio. There will also be practical tasks to complete, exams, assignment work and observations.
