Hairdressing Advanced Apprenticeship Level 3
This advanced apprenticeship will provide you with the skills and knowledge required to be working towards advanced hairdressing skills and services. You will be released one day per week to attend College training sessions, which will cover theoretical subject-specific knowledge and additional enhancements to practical training alongside assessment completion. You will receive training on the job, allowing you to earn, learn and train all within the same time frame.
You will need a minimum of two GCSEs at grades A*-D or 9-3, including English and maths. You will also need a minimum of full Level 2 qualification in Hairdressing
You must be in full-time employment as a stylist (junior roles are not sufficient for this course). You should have a keen eye for fashion trends and new techniques within the hair industry and be willing to work to flexible hours. You will be asked to undertake an initial assessment and interview prior to being accepted on to the programme.

- Creative styling
- Creative colouring
- Creative cutting
- Colour correction
You will be continuously assessed in the working salon environments. All theoretical knowledge is delivered within a classroom setting, developing bite-sized learning sections, with assessments to be carried out via internal online multiple choice tests. Results of these tests are immediate, so feedback can be given instantly upon their completion.

Further study and career options
Career progression: On successful completion of this course you could progress on to employment as an advanced salon hairstylist. You could also take the first steps into teaching hairdressing skills to others.
