Cake Decoration ABC Level 2 Certificate
This Level 2 Certificate is perfect if you wish to develop your skills and knowledge of cake decoration and sugar craft.
In order to begin this course you will need to have previous cake decoration experience and qualifications.
During this course you will study a range of topics, including:
- Marzipan modelling
- Fruits, flowers and petit fours
- Extended royal icing techniques
- Extended sugar past techniques
- Bas-relief fabric work
- Health and hygiene
- Design work.
There is no final examination, but you will be continuously assessed throughout the course by your tutor, and your results will be externally verified using your completed portfolio and your four final exhibition pieces.

Successful completion of these courses will enable you to pursue cake decoration and sugar craft to a high level, whether for teaching, exhibition work, working in industry or purely for personal achievement.
In addition to the course fees, you will also be required to pay for protective clothing; this will be purchased through the department and must be worn in the classroom at all times.
