Domestic Gas Fires & Wall Heaters (HTR1) BPEC Certificate
This course is ideal if you are a gas engineer/plumber wishing to update your portfolio of gas competencies.
To undertake the HTR1 you must hold a current in date Domestic Natural Gas CCN1 qualification.
During the course you will cover topics including:
- Fault Finding.
The assessment comprises of the following:
- A practical assessment
- A written assessment
- And where necessary additional oral questions may be asked by the assessor.
Further study and career options
On completion of the HTR1 you can now undertake various training and assessments needed to be competent in other areas of gas work e.g. cookers, meters, warm air units and boilers. Please see additional course leaflets for details of these courses which we also run.
This course combines half a day of training with half a day of assessment. You will need to supply evidence of previous qualifications prior to attending the course. You will also need to bring three passport sized photographs and National Insurance number. This assessment can be taken up to six months prior to the expiry date of your current certificate, but you can retain the full five years from your expiry date. Upon payment for the course, a training manual will be issued, preferably at least three weeks before the start of the course.
